Welcome to assistireland.ie. This online resource provides information on daily living aids, mobility aids and assistive technology, and provides lists of suppliers of such equipment in Ireland. Assist Ireland is provided by the Citizens Information Board.
As announced earlier in 2018, Assist Ireland is changing. This new redesign and structure focuses on information intended to help users choose suitable aids and appliances to meet their individual needs. There are also lists with the contact details of suppliers for specific categories of products, for example, suppliers of dementia care products, suppliers of lifts and stairlifts and suppliers of ramps.
Examples of types of equipment described include ramps and stairlifts, hoists and slings, manual and powered wheelchairs, children's daily living equipment, showering and bathing equipment, and eating and drinking equipment. Please note that Assist Ireland does not stock, sell or supply any products.
We hope that you like the redesign and the information is as clear and as easy to use as possible.
