    This website is aimed at young people with disabilities who are entering or already in further education or employment. It offers guidance to young people, educators and employers on the use and availability of assistive technology in Ireland to enable someone with a disability to access education or the workplace. Launched in September 2006.

  • Building for Everyone (.pdf)

    Produced by the National Disability Authority in 2002, this publication is a valuable resource for anyone wishing to ensure our shared environment is accessible for all. It contains comprehensive details, checklists, drawings and illustrations on all aspects of accessibility in our physical environment.

  • IWA Best Practice Access Guidelines - Designing Accessible Environments (.pdf)

    A guide published by the Irish Wheelchair Association in 2009 providing guidance on what is required to make a building accessible for people with physical and/or sensory disabilities. It can also help inform plans for the development of new facilities or for the upgrading of existing facilities.

    An employers guide to employing people with a disability produced by the Department of Trade, Enterprise and Employment in conjunction with the Aisling Foundation in 2002.

    The Health and Safety Authority is the national body in Ireland with responsibility for securing health and safety at work.
