Office/Study
Equipment
There are a variety of chairs and tables available for the home
office for those who like to write, read or use the computer at
home. Office-type chairs are usually adjustable in seat, back
height and angle to offer a variety of different positions to the
user.
Adjustable-height tables come in a range of sizes and an angle
adjustment of the tabletop surface can make writing and other tasks
easier for some. A raised rim will prevent items rolling or falling
off too easily. Some desks come with a single cut-out (or two if
required) which can allow the wheelchair controls of a power
wheelchair to fit neatly into the table. This allows the user to
get right up close to their desk or computer.
A simple bookstand can take away the effort involved in holding
a book. Page turners are large items but can allow a book to be
read independently. An electronic arm fixes to the page and the
user operates a switch when ready to view the next page.
