More Information about the Electronic Assistive Technology Library (www.try-it.ie)
The Electronic Assistive Technology Library (www.try-it.ie) allows people with disabilities in Ireland to borrow and trial new EAT devices so they can make informed decisions about what best suits their particular circumstances prior to making significant financial or time commitments. It also provides a forum to receive feedback from other users and AT assessors and finding supporting information.
This collaborative initiative received seed funding under the Enhancing Disabilities Services Programme (2007-2009), from the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform. This initiative is led by the National Rehabilitation Hospital in partnership with Enable Ireland National Assistive Technology Training Service and the National Council for the Blind of Ireland. However, this resource is open to additional member organisations. For full details of how to become a member and terms and conditions of membership, visit the member's page of www.try-it.ie.
