Assist Ireland is an initiative and development by the Citizens Information Board in association with disability organisations, service providers and support agencies both in Ireland and abroad including the Disability Living Foundation in the UK.

In 2003, a consultation group was set-up to assist the project. Representatives from the panel (list below) met periodically to review progress to date, share content, knowledge and implement feedback. Included below is a list of the organisations represented.

About the Citizens Information Board

The Citizens Information Board is the national support agency responsible for the provision of information, advice and advocacy to members of the public on social and civil services. The Citizens Information Board's mission is to ensure that individuals have easy access to impartial and independent information, advice and advocacy services so they can identify their needs and access their entitlements to these social and civil services.

Citizens Information provides a free and confidential information service. Our services are available through three channels:
