Backgammon is a dice and counter game that is played on a wooden board. The game is tactile and easy to use. The board has a dark brown background divided into four tables, each containing six finger-like sections known as ''points''. Each point contains fives holes in which the pegs are placed as they move around the board. The points are alternately coloured orange and cream. There are two sets of 15 pegs in a variety of shapes and colours. There are also two tactile dice and one blue peg used in place of the doubling cube.
