The S-Max Powered Stairclimber transports wheelchair users up and down stairs in their own wheelchair. It will cope with straight, narrow or spiral staircases, is suitable for all floor coverings, and has variable speed control to cater for different situations which may arise. Safety features also include brakes which stop automatically at the edge of each step. The battery provides enough power for up to 300 steps reducing the physical effort required by the operator. It can be dismantled for transportation in the boot of a car.
