The AlphaSmart 3000 is a portable note taker
with a 4 line by 40-character LCD screen and 80-key
keyboard. It holds 100 pages of text across 8 files. It offers
many standard word processing features such as cut,
copy, paste, spell-checker, password protection, keyword
search and foreign language character support.
Special needs features include sticky keys
and key repeat control. It has a USB port so that you can download
text to a desktop machine. Leads are available so that text can be
sent to a printer and printed.
The light, portable device is
ideal for users who need a word processor without the
complexities of a computer. An angled rest, cables, printer leads
metal keyguard, keyboard glove and a carrying case are available as
optional accessories. The three AA batteries supplied with the
device will provide over 700 hours of power.
