NVDA (Non-Visual Desktop Access)

NVDA is a free screen reader which enables blind or vision-impaired people to use computer applications like web browsers, email, and Office programs like Word and Excel. It reads the digital text on the screen out to the user using synthetic speech. You can control what text is read out using the mouse or arrows on the keyboard. NVDA can also convert text into Braille for output on a Braille display. NVDA works with Microsoft Windows and it can be downloaded to a PC or to a USB which can then be used with any computer.
