Clicker 5 is an on-screen keyboard with speech. Instead of having fixed keys, the grid can be programmed with any number of keys or cells. Each key can hold a letter, number, punctuation mark, word, sentence, picture, mouse function or link to another grid. When you click on a cell, the text and graphic in the cell is sent into the built-in word processor - Clicker Writer; or single symbols or symbol/text sequences can be spoken aloud as an augmentative communication system.

Cells can speak their text using the built-in synthesised and digitised speech, or you can record your own voice directly into a cell. The software comes with some ready-made learning grids or the user can create and edit their own in seconds. There are many educational Grids with a multitude of learning topics available. The software can be accessed either using the keyboard, touch screen, mouse, or single/ multiple switches. The user can create reading and writing activities or even record their own talking book. Clicker 5 is available for Windows and Mac.
