Toby Churchill Swift Lightwriter

The Toby Churchill Swift Lightwriter is a small portable text-to-speech communicator with a dual screen to display the text to both people in the conversation. It facilitates face to face communication for those who are literate, have the ability to use a keypad, but have difficulty with speech.

The user can type in words or select words from the stored vocabulary. It is quick to use, as the device will attempt to predict what is being said, and will display suitable word options to help complete a sentence. Once the sentence is entered it is displayed on both screens, as well as being vocalised. Standard features include quick-touch controls with joystick access, storage of user-defined phrases, and transfer of text documents to and from a computer.

Clear speech is produced through dual speakers. It can be set to either a male or female voice.
