This lightweight device intercepts and amplifies sound signals. It consists of a rectangular amplifier unit a lead and padded earphones on a headband. The amplifier has a range of four metres.
The battery-powered amplifier unit has a built-in, directional microphone. The user points the microphone towards the sound source, ie the person they wish to talk to, or the TV etc. The sound is amplified and transmitted to the attached earphones. The volume can be adjusted so the device can be used in different situations both indoors and outdoors.
