The Minicom 6000 and Minicom 6000 Plus are text telephones for users with hearing impairments. The text phone can be connected directly to the telephone line or it can be connected acoustically using a telephone handset. It has a full QWERTY keyboard. The text phone has an answering machine facility with relay voice announcer to tell hearing callers to use Typetalk.
The device has a built-in ring indicator and a bright display. It also has a dialling directory, auto ID and a redial function. The Mincom 6000 Plus is similar to the Minicom 6000 but it also features a built-in 24-character printer with three different print sizes.
