The Posey Deluxe Podus Boot is designed to prevent and protet against decubitus heel ulcers, foot-drop,hip rotation and plantar flexion contracture. Heel ulcers are prevented by elevating the heel, while the strong plastic splint accommodates up to a 45-degree plantar flexion contracture. Internal/external hip rotation is controlled by the anti-rotation bar and an attachable walking sole allows for some user movement. It is lined with machine washable soft cotton. The boot may also be used with a detachable toe post. This is used to keep bed linens off the toes, and is padded with a fabric cover for additional comfort.
