Goniometers measure the range of motion in certain joints, like the fingers and toes. These goniometers are made from transparent plastic, so they are easy to read. Because of the transparency, a therapist can observe the joint as it moves through the range of motion.

They each have a linear measurement scale in inches and centimetres. 17cm, 20cm, and 30cm goniometers are available. The 17cm goniometer reads from 0° to 180° in 5° intervals, while the 20cm goniometer reads the same range in 1° intervals, and in opposite directions. The 30cm Standard Goniometer reads from 0° to 180° and from 0° to 360°.
