This device is designed to measure pinch strength for evaluation and ongoing therapy purposes. It can measure isometric lateral, chuck or tip pinch strength. The device has an aluminium body that is secured to the examiners wrist with a nylon strap.
The measuring dial has a red indicator needle that retains the reading for the maximum pinch strength achieved, until it is reset. Three gauge strengths are available, measuring up to 4.5kg (10lbs), 13.6kg (30lbs) and 27kg (60lbs). The device comes with a plastic carrying case and a three-year warranty.
