Climbing Board & Bar

This exercise device is designed to increase strength and range of motion in the upper extremities. It has a rectangular aluminium frame that is held upright on a table. Seven pairs of horizontally aligned pegs progress up the frames sides. The user holds a tubular bar by the handles and reaches to place it across the pegs as though they were rungs. They must move the bar up from one set of pegs to the next.

Weights can be placed along the bar to make the exercise more difficult as the user improves. The frame has two holes in its base so it can be permanently attached to a table. It can also be held in place with clamps, which must be purchased separately.

An accessory kit is available for this exercise device. This kit allows you to use the climbing board for exercises that improve co-ordination and perceptual motor skills. The kit includes two double-faced pattern cards that attach to the back of the board. It also includes numbered tags and nylon cord. The cord and tags can be wound around the pegs to duplicate the patterns on the cards.
