This language development machine consists of a card reading device with voice output. The therapist writes words or messages onto the cards and then records him or herself speaking the words onto the recording strip on the card. The card is fed through the machine and the student sees and hears the words at the same time, which enhances word recognition. The therapist can create individualised programmes or choose from a number of prepared programmes.

Features of the machine include voice recording and playback, dual speed recording, and an integral microphone with fast-speed repeats. This machine is mains-powered. The blank, recording cards are sold in packs of 100. Each card can store eight seconds of recorded audio.
