The Breeze Low Air Loss System is an air-filled mattress that is intended to help prevent and manage pressure ulcers. Breeze is available as a mattress replacement system or as a mattress overlay system. Both the mattress replacement and the mattress overlay have 17 inflated cells, and will fit on most domestic and hospital bed bases. Each cell can be individually deflated using an inline valve, and there are also controls to increase or decrease the overall pressure.
The Breeze system is suitable for people who find a moving, pressure alternating surface uncomfortable. It has three modes of operation: static, pulsating, and firm.
