STT Condigi Cookerguard

The STT Condigi Cooker Guard is a warning device that will automatically turn off an electric oven or hob if a high temperature is detected over a pre-set time. This device can help people with dementia who wish to remain independent but may be at risk of leaving the oven or hob on. By monitoring the temperature and time, the Cooker Guard can detect when the hob or oven has not been turned off as expected, and it will automatically turn it off. The device will only reset when the cooker is turned off manually.

Both time and temperature are monitored for the oven, and temperature only is monitored for the hob. The time can be pre-set between ten minutes and two hours. When the Cooker Guard detects an oven temperature of 270°C, an amber light flashes and a loud noise sounds. If the oven is not manually turned off within two minutes, the light turns to red and the cooker is turned off automatically.
