Ankle Foot Orthosis

This lightweight, rigid splint for the foot and ankle promotes dorsiflexion. The splint provides slight medial and lateral ankle support and its rigidity counters mild extensor spasticity. The splint attaches to the user's calf and is held in place with a calf cuff and strap.

The splint has a large footplate that runs along the length of the sole to support the whole foot. It fits inside most shoes. The splint can be heated with a heat gun to make minor modifications. It is available for most shoe sizes for right and left legs.
