Chrisofix - Wind-up Leg and Knee Splint

This lightweight splinting material is designed to provide immobilisation to the lower limbs without inhibiting motion in other joints. It is designed for use on the leg, knee and ankle. It can also be used to splint dislocated shoulders or it can be wrapped around the torso to provide light back support.

The material has an aluminium core, which is covered in polyethylene plastic. It is water impermeable and X-ray transparent. To use the splint, wind out the material to the required size, wrap it around the affected area, and secure it to the limb using tape or adhesive plaster.
