Dorsal Blocking Splint

This splint immobilises the wrist, MCP and IP joints while leaving the thumb free to move. It is used to treat individuals recovering from flexor tendon repairs. The pre-cut splint loops around the palm of the hand and moulds around one side of the forearm, wrist and fingers.

This splint is also called a back slab splint and its palmar bar prevents it from moving out of position. The splint comes in packs of three and is available in solid Aquaplast ProDrape-T, Ezeform, or Polyflex II materials.
