Upper Extremity Tap (Tone and Positioning) Splint

This tone and positioning splint is designed for people with wrist or forearm disabilities or spasticity. The splint helps decrease hypertonicity and is intended for neurological and orthopedic indications. It consists of a neoprene glove that holds the thumb in abduction and a long arm strap. The glove has a hook and loop side opening for easy application and it leaves the fingers free to perform other tasks.

The strap is wound up the user's arm to the elbow and it can be applied to rotate the hand and forearm so that the palm faces up or down. This provides constant low-level stretch in pronation or supination. The splint should be hand-washed and air-dried. Left and right-handed versions are available in seven different sizes from paediatric to adult.
