This
strapping material can be used to hold splints in place. It
can also be used to make soft, lightweight splints and is suitable
for paediatric splinting. The materials insulating qualities
provide relief to arthritic joints and may be helpful with
hypertonicity.
Neoprene has a rubber core, which is lined with nylon on one
side and pile material on the other. It has elastic qualities, and
is latex free. It is available in sheets and rolls, which can be
cut to size.
