This stretchable splinting material is designed for hand-based splints. The material is cut to size and moulded to the users hand to make a fitted splint. The material is easy to cut at room temperature so precise pattern cutting is not necessary. A temporary bond can be achieved by pressing two heated sections together.

When the material is heated it becomes transparent, for greater observation when applying. Heating the 2.4mm material for one minute at 70°-75° Celsius gives approximately two to three minutes working time before the bond sets, and heating the 3.2mm material for one minute gives approximately four to six minutes working time. This material can be heated and reheated repeatedly. For a permanent bond, remove the coating on the material by scraping it away with a knife, or using spirits.
