Aquaplast Resilient-T Splinting Material

This splinting material has a maximum resistance to stretch. It is suitable for splints requiring frequent revisions, neurological splinting, and weight-bearing splints for the lower limbs.

The material can be heated and reheated repeatedly. Heating the material for varying amounts of time gives variable working times before the material sets. When heated the material becomes transparent for greater observation when applying.

A temporary bond can be achieved by using the wrap and tack technique, where the edges are pinched together. For a permanent bond, remove the coating on the material by scraping it away with a knife, or using spirits. Solid or 13% perforated sheets of this material are available.
