Oxford Mermaid Bathing Hoists - Mermaid Attendant-Controlled

This bathing hoist is used to transfer users to and from the bath. It consists of a plastic, moulded safety chair and its supporting floor-fixed column.

A winding handle on the column is turned to raise the user sitting in the chair. The chair is then placed manually over the bath and the handle is turned to lower the user into the bath.

The automatically locking chair has armrests that raise out of the way to aid transfers. The seat is perforated for drainage. This hoist requires an attendant to control it.
