The Chiltern Invadex Transaqua Shower Chairs can be used as a commode chair, a shower chair or as an over the toilet pedestal. It is available as a self-propelled chair or as an attendant-propelled chair. The attendant model is mounted on four braked castors. The self-propelled model has two front swivel castors and two large rear wheels with pushing rims, and is suitable for independent use.

The chair has a tubular stainless steel frame with an integral horizontal pushing bar above the padded backrest. The U-shaped padded seat has a front cut-out to facilitate personal hygiene. An optional commode pan can be inserted below the seat. The armrests provide additional support and assistance when sitting down and standing up from the chair. They can be swung away to facilitate side transfers. The chair comes with two height-adjustable footplates, which fold out of the way when not in use.
