Nordic Stand-Up Hoist

The Nordic Stand-Up Hoist is designed to aid in sit-to-stand transfers. The hoist is not designed to take the whole body weight and requires user participation, encouraging the user to stay active. The hoist has emergency stop features and an emergency lowering device. It is controlled via a handheld remote. An LCD display shows battery level and completed lifts and partial lift counts. The hoist is mounted on four castors to aid manoeuvrability and the two rear castors brake for unwanted movement during transfers.
